Magnetooptically detected electric-dipole allowed electron transitions in the R(3+) ions in R(2)CuO(4) (R=Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd)

摘要
The reflectance magnetic circular dichroism (RMCD) spectra of the R(2) CuO4 crystals (R=Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd) were studied in the visible light (1.5-4.5 eV) at the temperatures from 10 to 260 K in the magnetic field up to 65 kOe. The nature of observed electric-dipole allowed transitions in R fe ions is supposed to be 4f(n)-4f(n-1) 5d one.
