摘要
Literature functions as an exponent of cultures and discourses from different regions of different countries and offers numerous possibilities for selection by the teacher. We defend the place of literature in foreign language classes, based on the contributions of authors such as Mendoza (1993, 2002, 2007), Aragao (2006), Silva (2011, 2016), Acquaroni (2007), Albaladejo (2007), among others. This article discusses the importance of literary reading, as well as the relevance of teacher training to bring literature to their Spanish as a foreign language class. Besides, we bring the evolution of the place of the literary text in the Spanish Teacher Training Course at IFRN Central Natal Campus, from its course plan (2005, 2012, 2014 and 2018), to some projects carried aimed at training teachers to-be in this field and, finally, to the perceptions of the students of STTC on the importance of the knowledge of the didactic treatment of literature for their training and teaching practices. The results show us, mainly, that, after accessing subjects and projects regarding this perspective, there was an overcoming of negative beliefs towards the presence of the literary text in classes of Spanish as a foreign language (E / LE), in addition to the recognition of the importance of the theoretical and practical training of language teachers for the didactic treatment of literature in Spanish classes.
