Synthesis and crystal structure of mononuclear nickel(II) complex [Ni(IDB)2][C6H4(OH)COO]•ClO4•CH3CH2OH•H2O

摘要
The title complex has been synthesized by the reaction of the ligand IDB (IDB = N, N-bis(benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl) amine) with Ni(ClO4)(2)(.)6H(2)O and C6H4(OH)COONa in ethanol. The crystal structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar with the crystal cell parameters: a = 11.010(2), b = 13.800(3), c = 15.550(3)Angstrom, alpha = 100.75(3), beta = 102.97(3), gamma = 107.56(3)degrees, V = 2.1113(7) Angstrom(3), Z = 2, F(000) = 952, S = 1.008, D-c = 1.438 g/cm(3), M-r = 914.01 and mu = 0.591 mm(-1). There are 8215 observed reflections with Igreater than or equal to2sigma(I) and the final R = 0.0591, wR = 0.1325. The nickel (II) atom has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry and is six-coordinated by four nitrogen atoms of benzimidazole groups and two amine nitrogen atoms from the ligand IDB.
