Growth and characterization of (Y1-xPrx)Ba2Cu3O7-delta single crystals

摘要：
We report on the growth and characterization of single crystals in the solid solution system (Y1-xPrx)Ba2Cu3O7-8 with 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.6 using a BaCuO2-CuO flux together with a slow cooling method. By means of in situ decanting of the remaining flux, nearly flux-free single crystals can be grown for all concentrations. Although the c-axis parameter is not significantly influenced by increasing Pr doping, we find that the anisotropy is increased, which renders the system more two-dimensional.
