摘要
The mental health recovery model has become an increasingly influential treatment philosophy and approach. An important and rapidly expanding recovery intervention includes the use of mental health peer support workers (PSWs). Research shows that PSWs have beneficial effects on the caseloads they serve, and as a result, a body of knowledge about their job experiences is developing. This study contributes to advancing knowledge about PSW services by reporting on exploratory factor analysis of an instrument designed to assess the barriers to and facilitators of peer support work. Results uncovered a four-factor structure and high internal consistency of the items comprising each factor.
