摘要
Structural changes in the metallurgical industry have led to the widespread use of induction heating of metals. In particular, strips and slabs induction heating for rolling can significantly improve the usable metal quality and the rolled products yield. The article describes the inductors design with different direction of the main magnetic field. There are analyzed electromagnetic and thermal processes in the induction heating systems with different designs inductors. Most promising ones for the strip induction heating the induction systems with transverse field were specified, since their construction is relatively simple and allows one to improve the temperature field characteristics by means of changing the inductor position relative to the strip.
