Excess properties of binary alkanol plus diisopropyl ether (DIPE) or plus dibutyl ether (DBE) mixtures and the application of the extended real associated solution model

Experimental results are reported at 298.15 K for excess molar volumes VE and excess molar enthalpies H-E for binary mixtures of methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, and 2-butanol with diisopropyl ether (DIPE) and/or with dibutyl ether (DBE). a vibrating-tube densitometer was used to determine V-E, and H-E was measured using a quasi-isothermal flow calorimeter. The applicability of the extended real associated solution model has been investigated for describing the experimental excess properties presented as well as literature delta of alkanol-ether mixtures containing DIPE and DBE.
