摘要
:
This method for construction of titanium cranioplasty has proved simple and inexpensive. Building a smaller model with a 1 cm margin can save further expense but we prefer to use a full model to allow a more complete assessment of skull contour, particularly in large defects. Using a card template reduces titanium wastage and makes identifying where to cut slots simple. Aesthetically pleasing results can be achieved with the attendant benefits of the strength and dimensional stability of titanium. © 2008 The British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
