X-ray emission from the Galactic ridge

摘要
The recent Chandra result confirmed that most of the Galactic ridge X-ray emission is diffuse emission. Thermal plasma interpretations of the emission seem to contain fundamental problems. These are discussed together with the reanalysis results of the ASCA data.
