Preparation of chromium doped glass-ceramics containing NaAlSiO4 and Na3B3O6 phases

摘要
Pure and chromium doped homogeneous glasses from the systems NazO-Al2O3-SiO2 and NazO-Al2O3-SiO2-B2O3 are prepared. Transparent glass-ceramics are obtained after thermal treatment of the parent glass at different temperatures and time. The crystallizing phases, the degree of crystallinity and the particle size are determined. Absorption and emission spectra are presented for the glass-ceramic sample with crystallizing phases NaAlSiO4 and Na3B3O6. The spectra show co-existing emission of the Cr3+ and Cr4+ ions and are discussed in the terms of Cr3+ and Cr4+ ions.
