摘要
To gain an understanding of the mechanism of liquid film flow and evaporation on the inner surface of a rotating cone, a theoretical method of calculating the local liquid film thickness and heat transfer coefficients on a rotating cone was developed by applying a Nusselt-type assumption. Good agreement was found between the predicted and experimental heat transfer coefficients obtained using a Centritherm evaporator and another rotating surface evaporator having a different cone angle.
