摘要：

Benchmarking can help improve the industry's performance by making it easy to identify the best practices in the design and construction industry. A full benchmarking exercise is carried out in six stages. These include: selecting the product requiring improvement; identifying key performance metrics; choosing candidate components to be benchmarked; collecting data on practices and performance relating to each component; analyzing data and determining opportunities for improvement; and adopting and implementing best practices.
