摘要
Plato is the famous Western Ancient Greece philosopher, thinker and educator, and has a special historical position in the history of Western philosophy, intellectual history and aesthetics. Although he did not specifically discussed literature and art, in his four dozen works there are many chapters about literary. As seen from his works, Plato's contributions to the literary and artistic mainly are aesthetic ideology, philosophy style imitation, inspiration, and the social role of art. These literary doctrines not only had a great response at that time, but also played a positive role in promoting the development of the arts today.
