Study on de-noising EMR signals with wavelet transform

摘要
The characteristic of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) noises are analyzed and there are two kinds of interference: disturbance of fixed frequency band and random white noise. The former can be thrown off by multiresolution analysis of wavelet transform and the latter by non-linear soft threshold method. The results show that wavelet transform can dispose effectively of both noises and the useful EMR signals can be attained. This makes it more precise that the dynamical catastrophes of coal or rock such as coal and gas outbursts, rock bursts are forecast with EMR monitoring technology.
