摘要：
Knowledge concerning the pathogenesis of HIV infection and its clinical management has evolved rapidly since the global emergence of this infection in the human population 2 decades ago. This article focuses on the pathogenetic features of pediatric HIV infection that affect therapy and decision making, on the antiretroviral drugs available for children and current approaches to their use, and on some therapeutic options that may be available in the near future.
