摘要：
The title Schiff base compound, C(10)H(13)NO(3), obtained by the reaction of 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and 2-amino-ethanol in methanol solution, crystallizes in a zwitterionic form, in which the molecule adopts a trans configuration about the central C=N bond. An intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into chains by intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding.
