Lanthanum(III) and praseodymium(III) complexes of carbohydrazones and thiocarbohydrazones

摘要
Lanthanum(III) and praseodymium(III) complexes of the types [M(L-1)Cl-3], [M(L-2)Cl], [M(L-3)Cl-2] and [M(L-4)] (where M = La(III) or Pr (III); L-1 = ligands derived from carbohydrazide and benzaldehyde or acetophenene; (LH2)-H-2 = ligands derived from carbohydrazide and salicylaldehyde, o-hydroxynaphthaldehyde or o-hydroxyacetophenone; (LH)-H-3 = ligands derived from thiocarbohydrazide and benzaldehyde or acetophenone; (LH3)-H-4 = ligands derived from thiocarbohydrazide and salicylaldehyde, o-hydroxynaphthaldehyde or o-hydroxyacetophenone) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic moments and spectral (electronic, infrared) data. For the lanthanum(III) complexes, H-1 NMR spectra have also been recorded.
