Reducing the Effect of Delayed Path beyond Guard Interval by Compressed Sensing in OFDM Systems

摘要
In this paper, we propose to reduce the effect of Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) and corresponding Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) due to delayed paths beyond Guard Interval (GI) in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems based on Compressed Sensing (CS) framework. We exploit a sparsity of practical OFDM signals in frequency domain. The CS based signal reconstruction can cope with channel estimation and data estimation problems in such a fading environment. According to the computer simulation results by the proposed channel and data symbol estimation methods, they can enjoy sufficiently low Bit Error Rate (BER) performances for less than four-sample excess delay beyond GI in dense multipath fading environmentin the OFDM systems with 52 active subcarriers of the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) size 64.
