The solid state reaction was applied to form nickel ferrite spinel with NiO and Fe2O3 as the starting materials. The effects of the sintering temperature on the composition and micro-structure of products were investigated in detail. The dependence of conductivity of NiFe2O4 on temperature was discussed and its mechanism of conductivity was first proposed.
