Application of e-learning specifications for creating learner model ontology in web-based educational systems

摘要
Development of web-based educational systems is expanding and necessary demands standards for content representation, enabling interoperability between various educational systems. The paper presents actuall organizations that are working on development of e-learning standards (ADL, AICC, IMS i IEEE LTSC), their specifications and application of IMS Learner Information Package for building learner model. Additional learner modeling concepts concerning psychological characteristics of individual learner are presented. Paper also discuss the possibilities of adaptability of web-based educational systems according to the given information on cognitive and affective characteristics of individual learners. Finally, we presented some design and implementation concepts of building learner model ontology and its usage in web-based educational systems.
