摘要：

This paper discusses the needs of the portlets' semantic interoperability. It shows the drawbacks of current specifications of portlets such as JSR168 and WSRP. The paper suggests using ontology to support semantic interoperability of portlets. It proposes a scheme of ontology as a remote portlet service to illustrate the semantic interoperability of portlets.
