摘要
Novel red-emitting phosphors, NaMY(MoO4)(3):Eu3+ (M = Sr and Ca) were prepared by solid-state method. Their formation and phase purity were confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis. The excitation and emission spectra indicate that our obtained phosphors can be effectively excited by ultraviolet (395 nm) and blue (466 nm) light. In this research work, we have compared the luminescent intensity of our synthesized products with recently reported some molybdates-based promising red phosphors. Among these phosphors, NaCaY(MoO4)(3):Eu3+ shows the intense red emission under the excitation wavelength of 395 or 466 nm light. Upon excitation with a 466 nm light, the present synthesized phosphors have higher emission intensity than that from the commercial red phosphor (CaS:Eu2+). Due to a high emission intensity and a good excitation profile, the Eu3+-doped NaCaY(MoO4)(3) phosphors can be used in solid-state lighting applications and this phosphor can serve as an alternative phosphor to replace a widely used red-emitting CaS:Eu phosphor in the field of LEDs applications.
