摘要
Undoped and 10% Cl-doped ZnO nanorod arrays (NRAs) were synthesized by simple, low cost sol-gel hydrothermal method. The XRD pattern confirmed the formation of wurtzite phase of ZnO. Hexagonal structures are clearly observed from the FESEM images. The increment in optical band gap value evaluated from the absorbance spectra was enunciated from the absorbance spectra. The current-voltage characteristic curve clearly indicates an enhancement of nearly 8 times caused due to UV illumination as compared with undoped ZnO NRAs.
