摘要
This article analyzes the concept of "death" in the philosophy of Xavier Zubiri, who rejected the usual division of man in body (mortal) and soul (inmortal), and who has proposed an unitary conception of man as psychophysical whole. This conception implies necessarily the mortality of man, but influenced by the French theologian M.-E. Boismard, Zubiri propose a concept of "resurrection" of the man as a whole and does not accept the only resurrection of the body. Zubiri thinks that man, through his freedom, can build an "eternal shape" of his being, tan remains forever after death and his eternal life depends of his version or aversion toward the supreme reality: God.
