A COMPACT DUAL-BAND CPW-FED PLANAR MONOPOLE ANTENNA FOR WLAN APPLICATIONS

摘要
A dual-band compact monopole antenna with CPW-fed structure is proposed for WLAN applications. The proposed antenna, which consists of an inverted-L strip and an open-ended rectangular ring strip, has a compact size of only 26.5 x 25 x 1.6 mm(3) including the ground plane. Fabricated and measured, the proposed antenna covers both 2.4 GHz (2.4-2.484 GHz) and 5 GHz (5.15-5.825 GHz) bands and provides good radiation characteristics and antenna gains for the operating bands.
