White paper on Maharashtra government's finances - Scoring debating points

The Maharashtra government's white paper on the mismanagement of the state's finances by the erstwhile Shiv Sena-BJP government and the Shiv Sena-BJP combine's rejoinder to it are both attempts to score debating points. To find solutions to the serious financial problems facing the state, much more introspection is called for on the part of the ruling as also the opposition parties.
