摘要：
The environment-friendly three component condensation reactions of N,N'-dimethylbarbituric acid, 4-nitrobenzaldehyde and alkyl or aryl isocyanides to afford the corresponding furo[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1 H,3 H)-diones, in water, in high yields after several minutes are reported.
