New 3D multipass diode-pumped amplification scheme

摘要
We report on a new three-dimensional multipass longitudinally diode-pumped amplification scheme that allows 8 passes in the gain medium in four different planes of incidence. The amplifier provides both high gain (up to 30 dB) and efficient energy extraction (4.5 W of output power) from Nd:YAG and Nd:YVO4 crystals.
