摘要
Current surveys show that energy performance optimization is one of the core challenges in the upcoming years [1], [2]. In this regard Industrial Automation as cross-cutting discipline plays a major role in the energy generation sector as well as in all consumption sectors. Generally the selection of optimization measures is based on the evaluation of the systems that are to be optimized. This paper depicts the strengths and weaknesses of current evaluation methods, in particular concerning their applicability in Industrial Automation in engineering and operation and the technical usability of the evaluation results in terms of energy performance optimization.
