Numerical Simulation of Hot Extrusion Process of 38Ti48Ni14Nb Alloy Tubes

摘要
On the basis of obtained material model of 38Ti48Ni14Nb shape memory alloy, the hot extrusion processes of 38Ti48Ni14Nb alloy tubes were simulated by DEFORM-3D software. The stress, strain and temperature fields at different extrusion stages and variation law of the extrusion load for this material were analyzed. The calculated extrusion force, based on the true flowing stress-strain curves of 38Ti48Ni14Nb alloy obtained by isothermal hot compression experiments and its constitutive equation, is in accordance with the simulated result. It is shown that the extrusion parameters applied for simulation are rational to direct the following experiments and fabrication of 38Ti48Ni14Nb tubes.
