Provenance Marks of Book Fonds of Educational and Auxiliary Units of Kyiv University of St. Volodymyr (based on materials from the fond of the Department of Historical Book Collections of Institute of Book Studies of V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine)

Aim of the work: by analysing the provenances, to investigate the current state of residual book fonds of the educational support units of the Kyiv University of St. Volodymyr. To familiarize with the results of the study a wide circle of researchers and specialists who study the history of libraries of educational and auxiliary units in higher educational institutions of Kyiv. The methodology of scientific research consists of the systemic, historical and bibliological, analysis and synthesis methods. Scientific novelty: the study for the first time comprehensively examines the current state of the book fonds of the system of educational and auxiliary units of the Kyiv University of St. Volodymyr. Currently, there is no a thorough research of the history of the formation of this complex and the ways of its entry into the V.I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, as well as the content and composition of the book collections of educational and auxiliary units of the University of St. Volodymyr, which are now kept in the Department of Library and Historical Collections of the Institute of Book Studies of V.I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. Conclusions: the scientific investigation reveals insufficiently researched issue of the formation of the educational and auxiliary units of the University of St. Volodymyr. Due to the strict organization of the system of accounting of literature, which was received by the educational and auxiliary units of the University, each educational and auxiliary unit had its own seal and inventory book, where property and literature were registered. Attribution and research of a wide range of proveniences made it possible to identify printed publications with signs of collections inherent to the book collections of these units. The information on the availability of literature from the fonds of the educational and auxiliary units of Kyiv University of St. Volodymyr in the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine fonds is provided informatively.
