Economic e-Learning Environment based on Hybrid Learning Cloud Services

摘要
As e-learning services, multimedia education contents and necessary tools for learning and education, and research of university are becoming increasingly huge and various, university government should invest more and more in IT systems and legacy IT systems should be more frequently maintained(upgraded or updated). Cloud computing technology can reduce efforts and funds for IT system development and maintenance. Could computing can be classified into two categories; one is public cloud that is open to other people and IT systems, and another is private cloud that is close to other people and guarantee private data maintenance and security. If cloud computing technology would be adapted to e-learning environment, then it could reduce IT system investment for e-learning and more various e-learning services could be developed and maintained. Especially several years ago, mobile learning and smart learning mean huge IT system investment and need long term plan for development. But, based on cloud computing technology, development price of mobile learning environment can get lower and lower, and within short time, mobile learning services and smart learning services could be supported. In this paper, we design hybrid cloud learning platform that can combine private cloud and public cloud. In order to combine private cloud and public cloud, we propose hybrid cloud server that cloud learning portal supports. And we propose cloud learning architecture that can classify private cloud services and public cloud services. Hybrid learning cloud platform can be easily adapted to legacy e-learning IT systems. In the hybrid learning cloud, cheap mobile learning services and smart learning services are possible and more interactions between teachers and learners. Thus, hybrid learning cloud platform will be fit for underdeveloped countries and small-sized university.
