Calculation of the impulse impedance of a long grounding rod in sandy soil

摘要
Formulae for calculating the pulse resistance of a long grounding-rod in the case of lightning currents have been derived from the equations of long lines. The sums of Fourier series have been found and the zone of sparking in sandy soil has been determined. The results of calculation are in good agreement with experimental results obtained by various authors.
