摘要
Pink noise (also referred to as "1/f noise" or "flicker noise") is a temporal fractal, i.e. the dynamics of the underlying system displays correlations between fluctuations on nested time scales. Despite its ubiquity, the physical origin of pink noise is not known. A phenomenological approach based on the Theory of Fractal Time describes pink noise as a superimposed interfacial temporal structure on the interface between observer/measuring chain and the system under observation, depending on where the interfacial cut is located. Three types of nested detectors are presented, each generating a fractal temporal interface, which registers either separate, uncorrelated sequences, pink noise or space-time as a function of a TNC (a temporal natural constraint, i.e. the smallest recurring structure in a nesting cascade without nesting capacity) on the interface. An algorithm is proposed for turning Detector B into Detector C. The difference between Detector B's and Detector C's readings reveals a distortion function and a new type of relativity reminiscent of those in Rossler's endophysical approach. Modification of this distorting function is conceivable, with the ultimate aim of making interface reality and, with it, temporal structures, manipulable.
