摘要
Traditionally, the region of Middle East has been a significant actor of international relations. The reasons are various: geographical proximity to European continent, local resources of strategic energy sources such as oil and natural gas and also, the armed conflicts that appeared in the region during last decades has been attracting a lot of attention all over the world. The events of so called Arab spring in Libya and Syria have been observed globally. These events did not only change the balance of power in the region but they also have had a significant impact on the local societies in both countries. Most significantly, there is a humanitarian aspect of the ongoing military operations as the everyday lives of people both in Syria and Libya have been affected immensely. The post-conflict reconstruction is supposed to be one of the most important tasks in next few years.
