摘要
The high penetration of power electronic converters and non-linear loads in power system have made power quality worse. As the world is focusing on minimizing the use of conventional sources. Photovoltaic (PV) is one of the renewable sources which is widely used in the distribution network. Since, high penetration of DGs (distributed generators) rises the power quality issues. In this paper power quality issues like harmonics, voltage sag and their mitigation techniques used for DG (distributed generation) are discussed. The effect of sudden disconnection of DG on voltage sag with different ratings is also analyzed. Moreover, on one hand for the mitigation of harmonics C-type high pass filter is utilized to perform analysis with various kVAR ratings. On the other hand, Dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is used to mitigate the voltage sag introduced in the distribution network. Furthermore, impacts on voltage sag and harmonics with DG and without DG has been examined. MATLAB/ Simulink software is used for the simulation and result.
