摘要：

Truth, understood by Thomas Aquinas as the adequation of mind and reality, forges a moral virtue called truthfulness in those who seek it and speak it. Such an epistemological and moral account of truth inspires a certain way of understanding both university pedagogy and university social responsibility. This article expounds the relations between realistic epistemology, moral virtue, and universities, and shows how the notion of truthfulness has served as inspiration for the pedagogical commitments of the Santo Tomas University.
