摘要
This paper presents preliminary results of microstrip patch antennas made on glass substrates. The antennas are CPW-Fed, using a 2D(NW arrow) metallic PBG, Photonic Band Gap, matrix. The objective of this work is to show the feasibility of antenna structures to operate at K-a-Band on different materials. As a complementary task it is to establish a lithographic process technique on different substrates to investigate the alternatives for high performance microwave devices at low costs. The millimeter wave or near millimeter wave band are expected to be a frequency resource for wireless terrestrial and satellite, the 3G and 4G mobile communication system and PC-card-radio terminal. These bands also accommodate multimedia wide ban operation.
