Morphological lesions of connective tissue during inflammation

Proper connective tissue is the target of action of inflammation-inducing factors, while the cells of this tissue are the defenders. Therefore, the inflammation represents the complex local reaction of the mesenchymal system and the blood against damaging factors. Generally, the inflammatory process is relevant to inflammatory collagenosis, i.e. the connective tissue disease with various contributions of this protein in the process. Thus the proposed term ,,inflammatory collagenosis" denotes the particular engagement of connective tissue in the inflammatory process, especially since it takes place upon its territory.
