摘要
Daily five-day-traveltime forward and back trajectories of air mass transport are analyzed for three regions of the Russian Arctic-Franz Josef Land, Severnaya Zemlya, and Wrangel Island-for spring-summer (April and July) periods from 1986 to 1995. Regularities of air exchange between different regions of the Arctic and the surrounding atmosphere are revealed as well as seasonal differences in this process. The major paths along which possible anthropogenic pollutants enter and leave the atmosphere are found. The probabilities of occurrence of different paths of transport of continental, arctic, and marine air masses and also the probabilities that possible atmospheric pollutants leave the Arctic through the regions under consideration in spring-summer time are estimated.
