摘要：

The effectiveness of contemporary high power light emitting diodes (LED) for use in devices for full-scale investigations of sea waters is considered. As an example, a functional flow diagram of an instrument to measure weakening light of sea water using such LEDs is described. The instrument is developed by the authors.
