摘要
Several studies showed application of direct or indirect mechanism in metal removal to selectively form microstructures on a metal work-piece using bacteria. This process is called as biomachining. The potential of organic acid producing fungi for the biomachining of metals has not been explored yet. The Aspergillus niger 34770 (A. niger 34770) culture supernatant was used for metal removal study. An amount of material removed from the work-piece varied for different metals. Complete material removal was achieved for tin metal by 100 ml culture supernatant, at 150 rpm shaking speed, and at 30 degrees C temperature, in 72 h. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
