摘要：
A method for improving the directivity of the microstrip coupler is presented. Its pattern was modified for phase velocity compensation which results in high directivity. Using this procedure, a 15 dB coupler was designed and fabricated at 0.9 GHz. A high directivity of 43 dB is measured. The validity of the design concept was verified by simulations and measurements.
