摘要
Composite films containing copper and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with different dimensions were fabricated by electroless deposition and their microstructure and frictional properties were evaluated. The films were formed using an electroless copper plating bath including dispersants of sodium lauryl sulfate and hydroxypropyl cellulose for MWCNTs. The microstructure of the films was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, and their frictional properties were investigated using a ball-on-disk method without a lubricant. All of the deposited films contained uniformly dispersed MWCNTs, and exhibited significantly lower coefficients of friction than copper films. (C) 2014 The Electrochemical Society.
