摘要
A cross-calibration procedure for reducing stratospheric aerosol effects was tested on an AVHRR LAC NDVI data set for the North Slope of Alaska in the early 1990s. Corrections based on atmospherically corrected GAC data increased NDVI values by as much as 0.05 and seasonally integrated NDVI by 0.3. Even after correction, NDVI values are lower for at least three years following the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, suggesting a reduction in arctic tundra productivity.
