Analysis of English Teaching through English Movie Appreciation

In recent years, some colleges have carried out English teaching through English movie appreciation. Appreciation of English movies enriches students' English learning contents, arouses their interest in English learning, enhances their consciousness and enthusiasm for English learning, boosts their English application level and promotes their understanding of western culture. Teachers introduce English movie appreciation in English education, select suitable English movies for students and require students writing impression of view in combination of the movies, which contributes to improving students' comprehensive English ability and enhance their cross-cultural awareness. This paper discusses English teaching through English movie appreciation, analyzes and knows the application effects and significance of English movie appreciation in modern applied teaching.
