Dynamics of a Brillouin fiber ring laser: Off-resonant case

摘要
The behavior of a nonresonant Brillouin laser is studied both theoretically and experimentally. Equations for the laser are revisited in order to derive the steady states. The stability of the stationary solutions is studied numerically in the case of a shea length cavity. This study reveals unstable regimes and a modal bistability around the antiresonant frequency. Experimental results confirm these predictions.
