Study of the Effect of Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes on Dynamic, Vulcanizing, Physical and Mechanical Properties of Elastomer Composites

摘要
The effect of multiwall carbon nanotubes of similar diameter sizes were studied on dynamic, vulcanizing, physical and mechanical properties of the compound rubber based on cis-isoprene synthetic rubber by applying partial replacement for N330 carbon black with them. It is noted that the addition of up to 0.5 pts. wt. MWCNT 2 into the formula provides the better dispersion of a filler compared with other specimens as well as eases its processability. At filling MWCNT 485 the Payne effect increases for all specimens in the all range of concentrations. The largest hysteresis losses are observed for vulcanizates with MWCNT 485. Upon the studying results of vulcanization and strength parameters of rubber with both MWCNTs, reduction in the induction period, increase in the conventional stress at various elongations, a slight decline in the strength properties and relative elongation at fracture can be noted.
