摘要：

Reaction of Zn(CH3CO2). 4H(2)O with the N,N,O-terdentate chelating ligand HL(1) (HL(1)=6-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-2,2'-bipyridine) followed by NaBPh(4) affords [Zn(L(1))(2)(BPh(2))][BPh(4)], in which the two cis-oriented phenolates, which are weakly coordinated to the six-coordinate Zn(II) centre, also both bond to a {BPh(2)}(+) fragment which has come from the unexpected decomposition of a [BPh(4)](-) anion.
