On the Application of Cloud Computing Technology in Education Platform

Internet technology innovation and education reform have been receiving more and more attention since the last decade in the 21st century. As a new product of the Internet era, cloud computing has experienced rapid development in recent years. Its integration with education highlights the development direction and core technology of cloud computing itself in the future. This paper starts form the definition, characteristics and advantages of cloud computing, and then discusses issues related to the application of cloud computing on education platform in terms of classroom teaching, practical teaching activities and teaching assistance. Finally, this study highlights the future impact of cloud computing on education in terms of promoting education equity, reducing education cost, innovating teaching methods, achieving low cost and high efficiency education management and helping life-long education.
